ABOUT US

HEAR Nashville stands for "Hearing Education and Assistance Resource."

Our mission is to provide hearing aid assistance to qualified low-income adults in Middle Tennessee. Our organization is staffed by trained volunteers to help refer people to different hearing aid assistance programs and provide other clinical resources.

HEAR Nashville was founded in 2010 as charitable organization under the IRS rules and regulations. It is a partnership between several community organizations that provide different services to those with hearing loss.  These organizations include:

  1. The Sertoma Club of Nashville

  2. The Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center

  3. The Audiology section of the Department of Speech Pathology at Tennessee State University

  4. Bridges (formerly League for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing)

  5. The Nashville chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America

We are funded by a variety of grants, donations and gifts from local foundations. HEAR Nashville is a 501(c)3 registered community organization.
